We help children to discover new passions, new talents and to understand that they have enormous potential.
We help them find their reason to learn.
Open Trail is a registered charity established to encourage young people, of Worcestershire and the West Midlands, to strive for more than they think possible, despite their own personal circumstances.
Forest School. Get the fire on, cook up some tasty treats, have a go at blind-folded challenges, build a survival camp, use knives and saws, and go where ever your imagination takes you! Let the kid's decide!
We offer 6-8 blocks of weekly 1-2 hours, small group sessions on YOUR school site! These sessions focus on traditional Forest School, child-led play and personal enquiry.
We also provide outdoor sessions for larger groups, with more of a curriculum focus. Bring your learning goals outside!
Open Trail cycle coaching teaches progressive cycling, from learning to ride to group riding, racing and tackling multiple terrains. We offer series of sessions, a day or a whole week of races, fun games and challenges (including features of our portable track). You can also join us in the Wyre Forest for mountain bike fun!
Our aim is for all children to leave primary school, able to ride a bike. If your pupils cannot ride independently, we can teach them to cycle in no time!
Our 'Ultimate Skills Track' is new and exciting. We can provide a special wooden bike track and obstacles, which will challenge your pupil's cycling, push their skills and show them what they are truly capable of.
World traveller, Hannah, has taught in schools in India, China, Brazil, Ghana, Malawi and Zambia. Hear her stories of how children from around the world live, work and play, with assemblies, presentations and/or activity days!
During our special engagement days your pupils will not only hear Hannah's amazing stories but will also be taught the children's games, dances and crafts. From Indian Kabbadi, to Ghanian Azonto, to litter football and flying hand-made kites! We bring a world of opportunity to your school.
It may not be possible to take your pupils on exciting school trips, due to tightening budgets, so... let us bring the excitement to you with our 'Award Days'!
Whether it is for hard work, citizenship, making good choices or outstanding achievements, we provide one-off reward days for our Forest School and Cycling Coaching/Cycling School.
We offer assemblies from:
-GB Cycling Team Racer and Women's World Series 4X Mountain Bike Champion Hannah Escott.
-GB Cycling Team Racer and 2X Men's World BMX Champion Scott Beaumont.
A whole host of topics, and case studies from around the world
